Concepts & Developments

Concepts are the initial framework which builds and explores the very foundation of a projects direction. These early ideas are essential in defining the tone, voice, style, market positioning and connection to the target audience purpose. Conceptual work offers a windows into the thought process, a behind the curtain view of how a brand designer works and develops the overall vision. These samples are a collection of some of the initial concepts for the branding work shown in my branding, illustrations and iconography sections. This is often my favorite phase of projects, as it’s very organic and free flowing. I often work by hand to sculpt and develop linework that can only come from a pure tactile relation.
